While they narrowly missed out on County League qualification, our amazing Under 16s have every reason to hold their heads high after a gritty and determined showing in this season’s tough qualifying tournament.

The competition was fierce, the margins tight, and our girls gave everything they had — showcasing the heart, skill, and team spirit that defines Pilgrims Netball Club. Every match was played with courage and character, and although the final result wasn’t what we hoped for, the journey was packed with moments to be proud of.

This team has grown stronger with every game. From pre-season training through to the final whistle of the last qualifier, the commitment, improvement, and unity on and off the court have been second to none.

While County League won’t be on the calendar this time, there’s plenty to look forward to with a full schedule of fixtures in the Canterbury local leagues. These matches will offer the perfect platform for the team to continue developing, building confidence, and enjoying their netball — and we can’t wait to cheer them on.

To our U16 players: you’ve shown resilience, talent, and heart — and we couldn’t be prouder. To the coaches and families behind the scenes: thank you for your tireless support. The story doesn’t end here — it’s just another chapter in a much bigger journey.
